Bilal-i Habeşi Masjid

This masjid is constructed at the accommodation place of Bilal-i Habeşi in Tarsus, who is the muezzin of Muhammad visiting places conquered by Islam armies. Construction year is not known and there are various records available for the structure in 1519 from Ottoman Empire archives. Masjid has a simple look, and the main place can be accessed from the final congregation point with three columns at the north. The final congregation point is covered with three oval domes, and the main area is covered by a single drummed dome. The prayer area is accessed through a simple portal. There is a sarcophagus representing the maqam of Bilal-i Habeşi at the right of the entrance inside the Masjid.
